Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using BugTraceAI, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the software.
Authorized Use Only
BugTraceAI is designed exclusively for authorized security testing. This includes:
- Bug bounty programs where you have explicit permission from the program owner.
- Contracted penetration testing where you have a signed agreement with the target organization.
- Testing your own systems that you own or have written authorization to test.
You must have proper authorization before scanning any target. Unauthorized access to computer systems is illegal in most jurisdictions. It is your responsibility to ensure you have the legal right to test any target before using BugTraceAI against it.
License
BugTraceAI is released under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 (AGPL-3.0). The full license text is available at https://www.gnu.org/licenses/agpl-3.0.html. Your use of the software is subject to the terms of that license.
No Warranty
BugTraceAI is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of the software is with you.
Limitation of Liability
In no event shall the BugTraceAI team, contributors, or maintainers be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort, or otherwise, arising from, out of, or in connection with the software or the use or other dealings in the software.
User Responsibility
You are solely responsible for:
- Ensuring you have proper authorization to test any target.
- Complying with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations.
- Any consequences arising from your use of BugTraceAI.
- Maintaining the security of your own API keys and credentials.
Misuse
The BugTraceAI team is not liable for any misuse of the software. Using BugTraceAI against systems without explicit authorization is a violation of these terms and may violate criminal and civil laws.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above and published to this wiki. Continued use of the software after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
